Second class have had a busy start to the new year. This month, we have been examining man-made and natural materials. We learned how paper is made and why recycling paper is important to help save trees. Did you know that 1tonne of recycled paper saves 17 trees?! Today we explored the school for natural and man-made materials. We also took rubbings of some natural and man-made materials and created a collage of all our rubbings. The children found really interesting rubbings such as manhole covers, doors, walls, bricks and tree bark. Here are some pictures of second class hard at work!
