We have really enjoyed exploring and discovering Spring in the Garden Centre. We planted bulbs and peas and we learnt that plants need soil, water and sunshine to grow. We decided to experiment and see will plants grow without soil or without sunlight. We check these everyday and we’re making great discoveries.
We’ve been working hard in our Garden Centre in Aistear and we read all about planting in our story “Planting a rainbow” by Lois Ehlert.
We were amazed when Josh from 4th class showed us the wormery and explained how worms work hard turning waste into compost. He even gave us some to add to the soil for our science experiment!
