Targetboard

In 2nd and 3rd class we have been involved in an exciting maths project called Targetboard.  We played online all last week.  We had a short amount of time to come up with as many ways as possible to reach the target. We had to use all of our mathematical operations:  plus, minus, multiply by and divide by.  There were classes up to 6th class taking part from schools all around the country.  A special award was given to anyone who used all 9 numbers in their sum.  We didn’t manage this, but maybe next year as we learn more we will manage to do so.   It really got us thinking and it was a fun way to play around with our tables.  Well done to everyone who took part!
