3rd and 4th Class love reading! We celebrated World Book Day in Michael’s class today.
We logged onto http://www.worldbookday.com and used lots of the resources on the website.
We even watched ‘The Biggest Bookshow On Earth’ broadcast live this morning from 11am – 12pm. The children got lots of ideas from some of the world’s leading childrens’ authors, including Francesca Simon, author of Horrid Henry. Following the show, 3rd class put some of the advice into practise. Here are some photographs. We will post a link to the broadcast when it becomes available.
Finally, each child in the class received a ‘World Book Day token’ to be used in their local bookshop and a ‘Library Membership Application Form’.
