This week in 2nd and 3rd class we have a lot of exciting things going on. First and foremost we have joined Twitter and are tweeting everyday. We have made connections with other classes across Ireland, one of whom is also a split 2nd and 3rd class. We are looking forward to sharing and comparing our learning experiences. We are enjoying Art Week. So far we have drawn our portraits in our Art Books. It was fun looking back at the pictures we drew over the years. Some of us are even correcting our own spellings now as we get older and wiser. Later in the week we are taking part in #tap2011, a country-wide Twitter based art project. We are going to do an online Art Treasure Hunt on Thursday and Friday.
This week is also National Spring Clean week. We are focussing on keeping our own desks and baskets tidy. Then on Friday we are going out into the community with Michael and doing a Spring Clean.
Finally we have also started a World Map project with Tim. We will be learning about the world and making and constructing our own maps and globes.
There is so much going on, you need a good sleep every night to keep up with
