Ist class had a very busy week this week.
On Tuesday, we had a visit from David Donohue, author of the “Walter Speazlebud” books. The boy in the books, Walter, can read and spell words backwards and 1st class really enjoyed when David told them all their names backwards. We even tried spelling some words backwards ourselves and got a certificate from David for our efforts!
On Wednesday, Robert set up a Skype call for us, with another 1st class in a school in Malahide, Dublin. We had to guess where the school was located, by asking lots of questions. We sang a song for them and they knew the song too, so they were able to sing along with us. A big thank you to Robert for setting up this Skype call.
On Thursday, we made beautiful clay snowmen and are really looking forward to painting them next week, just in time for Christmas!
